Tadapox Brand ()
Tadapox® is produced by Dharam Distributors. It is a combined medication aimed to manage two main sexual disorders such as erectile dysfunction (ED) and premature ejaculation (PE).
Tadapox® comprises two active ingredients – Tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, and Dapoxetine, short-acting serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
Indications:
- erectile dysfunction (ED);
- early or premature ejaculation (PE).
Tadalafil in a low dosage of 5 mg is licensed to be used as a treatment of an enlarged prostate gland (BPH – benign prostatic hyperplasia).
MOA (mechanism of action):
Tadalafil works by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5). PDE-5 usually breaks down chemical messenger called cyclic GMP, which normally causes the blood vessels in the penis to expand by relaxing a thin layer of muscle in the blood vessel walls. This increases blood-flow to the penis, resulting in the penis become rigid and erect. As the action of PDE-5 is blocked, the blood vessels are kept dilated longer, which improves blood flow to the penis and helps maintain an erection. Dapoxetine promotes the activity of serotonin, that is a neurotransmitter involved in passing messages between nerve cells, including those that result in ejaculation. Promoted activity of serotonin increases the time it takes to ejaculate and improves control over the ejaculation. Initially, Dapoxetine was created as an antidepressant.
